Wiki information meeting – 05th December 2022
Two representatives from the Tamil project at Lokalhistoriewiki presented a PowerPoint presentation to the board of Committee of the Norway Tamil Sangam. At the end of the meeting the committee suggested the working team to present the information at the Pongal festival arranged by the organisation in January 2023. Considered making an information video about the Tamil project at Lokalhistoriewiki.
Wiki information meeting – 09th December 2022
A PowerPoint presentation were given to the board of Committee of the Tamil Coordinating Committee (TCC). Based on the request from TCC, the difference between the Tamil project at Lokalhistoriewiki and the website of DiasporA Tamil Archives were informed.
Wiki workshop – 14th December 2022
The working team of the Tamil project at the Lokalhistoriewiki.no had a social dialogue with the Tamil seniors at Tamil Resource and Counselling Center at the Wiki workshop on 14th December 2022.
Making of information video for the Tamil project at Lokalhistoriewiki – 06th January 2023
A team of Tamil youngsters and professionals from the National Library of Norway and Oslo City Archives came together to make an information video about the Tamil wiki-project. Samaran Vethananthan, Nirooja Mathyvathanan and Vilasini Vamathevan were the Tamil youngsters, who participated at the Wiki workshop and wrote lexical articles. Ola Alsvik (Research Librarian at the National Library of Norway), Marianne Wiig (Coordinator for Lokalhistoriewiki and Senior Advisor at the National Library of Norway) and Johanne Bergkvist (Historian at Oslo City Archives) participated with the youngsters. Flash Digital Norway facility with camera and editing.
The Information video were planned to be shown at various Tamil festivals, disseminated through social media and website.
Wiki information meeting – 09th January 2023
A representative from the Wiki working team met «Aktive Kvinner i Bjerke» (a sport and welfare organisation for immigrant women) at Start Blokka in Linderud (Oslo). With the information meeting, the representative presented a friendly request to the women at the «Aktive Kvinner i Bjerke», to cooperate in arranging:
- An information meeting about the wiki project with your committee and members
- A wiki workshop with a social gathering where we gather writers to write articles. Writers can be young or adults who can write in Norwegian.
- Take responsibility for writing or updating the article about your organisation/activity/initiative
The women at the «Aktive Kvinner i Bjerke» have taken the responsibility to write a lexical article about their organisation/activity/initiative.
Wiki information meeting – 10th January 2023
Similar activity were conducted at the Women group/ Eurobic team at Tamil Resource and Counselling Center.
The women at this group have taken the responsibility to write about their activity/initiative to include in the existing article about Tamil Resource and Counselling Center at Lokalhistoriewiki.no
The working team of the Tamil project at the Lokalhistoriewiki encourage all Tamil organisation in Oslo and around Norway to cooperate to document the history of your organisation/activity/initiative.
