This is the period of 1) the poet from the Sangam era, īḻattup pūtantēvaṉār (ஈழத்துப் பூதந்தேவனார்); 2) according to the epigraphy of Anuradhapuram, the period of the īḻap paratavaṉ (ஈழப் பரதவன் காலம்); and 3) the nāka nāṭu ancient vogue (நாகநாடு தொல் வழக்கு) comes later in the ancient Tamil text maṇimēkalai (மணிமேகலை).
