En hilsen fra Antonys familie

Det er over 30 år siden Antony forlot oss. Men fortsatt er han en kjent og kjær skikkelse, både for dem som kjente ham og for de mange unge norsk-tamiler som er blitt fortalt om mannen som satte Norge på kartet for foreldrene og besteforeldrene deres. Det viser DiasporA Tamil Archives sin invitasjon til familie og venner til å dele minner om Antony i forbindelse med at han ville blitt 90 år den 20. juni i år. Det setter vi, Antonys nærmeste familie, stor pris på.

Vi takker DiasporA Tamil Archives for initiativet, og vi takker alle som har tatt imot invitasjonen til å dele.

A greeting from Antony’s family

It’s been over 30 years since Antony left us. But he is still a familiar and cherished figure, both for those who knew him and for the many young Norwegian-Tamils who have been told about the man who put Norway on the map for their parents and grandparents. The DiasporA Tamil Archives’ invitation to family and friends to share memories of Antony in conjunction with his 90th birthday on 20^th June this year reveals it. We, Antony’s close family, really appreciate that.

We thank DiasporA Tamil Archives for the initiative, and we thank everyone who accepted the invitation to share.

அன்ரனியின் குடும்பத்தினரின் வாழ்த்து

அன்ரனி நம்மை விட்டு பிரிந்து 30 வருடங்களுக்கு மேல் ஆகிவிட்டது. ஆனால் அவர் இன்றும் நன்கு அறியப்பட்ட மற்றும் நேசத்துக்குரிய நபராக அவரை அறிந்தவர்களுக்கு இருக்கிறார். அதோடு பல இளம் நோர்வேயிய-தமிழர்களுக்கும் இவர் அறிந்தவராக இருக்கிறார். இவர்கள் தமது பெற்றோர் மற்றும் தாத்தா பாட்டிகளுக்கு நோர்வேயை வரைபடத்தில் புள்ளடி போட்டுக் காட்டிய மனிதர் என்று அறிந்தவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள். இதற்கு இந்த ஆண்டு யூன் மாதம் 20 ஆம் திகதி அன்ரனியின் 90 வது பிறந்தநாளை முன்னிட்டு அவரது நினைவுகளைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள குடும்பத்தினர் மற்றும் நண்பர்களுக்கு புலம்பெயர் தமிழ் சுவடிகள் காப்பகங்களின் அழைப்பு சான்றாகிறது. அன்ரனியின் நெருங்கிய குடும்பத்தினர் ஆகிய நாங்கள் அதை மிகவும் பாராட்டுகிறோம்.

இந்த முயற்சிக்கு நாங்கள் புலம்பெயர் தமிழ் சுவடிகள் காப்பகங்களுக்கு (DiasporA Tamil Archives) நன்றி கூறுகிறோம். மேலும் இந்த அழைப்பை ஏற்று தமது நினைவுகளைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி.
